Dunedin-based Junior Thunder U14 and U17 teams had a successful weekend, with the U14s taking two wins from an impressive Junior Stampede team, and the U17s splitting their weekend with Canterbury.

The U14 team beat Junior Stampede 5-2 and 6-4.

The U17 team beat Canterbury 3-1 before losing to them 5-0 on the Sunday.

The weekend was also notable for Tekapo-based Mackenzie club members coming to the fore. In one game James Russek (Thunder U14) and Flynn Linton (Stampede U14) took home player of the game pucks. Also pictured (left) is Flynn’s brother Oliver.
