More than 200 players, parents and volunteers descended upon Alpine Ice Arena in Christchurch over the weekend, to enjoy what has to to be THE highlight of the hockey calendar – the annual Under-12 tournament!
The tournament sees players from around New Zealand get together on-ice to battle it out over 3 days in cross-ice 3 on 3 games – with 221 games scheduled and an epic prizegiving conclusion, the weekend was full of fun, laughter and teamwork.
On Sunday, the gold medal game was played with the winner decided in overtime for the second year in a row! Congratulations to the top 10 teams:
