The NZIHF is thrilled to announce that the following New Zealand officials have been granted IIHF officiating licenses for 2024 in recognition of their dedication to officiating, hard work, and prowess on the ice.

IIHF Officiating licenses represent the highest level of recognition attainable by officials, and they are regarded as equivalent to a player’s selection for a national team.

There exist three categories of IIHF licenses: A, B, and C. The ‘C’ license empowers an official to officiate in international exhibition games and initiates their introduction to international ice hockey. The ‘B’ License permits an official to officiate at one of the various World Championships held annually, provided they are chosen by the IIHF. Meanwhile, an ‘A’ license qualifies an official to work at tournaments at the Olympic level.
