{"id":10041,"date":"2023-10-12T10:42:32","date_gmt":"2023-10-11T21:42:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nzicehockey.co.nz\/?p=10041"},"modified":"2023-10-12T11:12:07","modified_gmt":"2023-10-11T22:12:07","slug":"2023-under-12-tournament-highlights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nzicehockey.co.nz\/2023-under-12-tournament-highlights\/","title":{"rendered":"2023 Under-12 Tournament Highlights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 200 players, parents and volunteers descended upon Alpine Ice Arena in Christchurch over the weekend, to enjoy what has to to be THE highlight of the hockey calendar &#8211; the annual Under-12 tournament!<\/p>\n<p>The tournament sees players from around New Zealand get together on-ice to battle it out over 3 days in cross-ice 3 on 3 games &#8211; with 221 games scheduled and an epic prizegiving conclusion, the weekend was full of fun, laughter and teamwork.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the gold medal game was played with the winner decided in overtime for the second year in a row!
