Auckland U17s had a strong start to their 2017 NZMIHL campaign with 11-1 and 8-0 victories in Dunedin over the Junior Thunder this weekend.

Two weeks earlier, Junior Stampede had a closer series against Canterbury, winning the first game in overtime 6-5, before taking the second 11-4.
