NZIHF hosts IIHF Asian Strategic Planning Group Meeting

From 19 to 21 August, the New Zealand Ice Hockey Federation hosted the IIHF Asian Strategic Planning Group at The Heritage Hotel in Auckland.

Along with Thomas
Wu (Vice President IIHF) and Andy Ecker (IIHF Sport Development Manager),
delegates from China, Indonesia, India, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Macau,
Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Thailand, Chinese Taipei
and United Arab Emirates attended the three day conference.

The
international delegation was greeted by the Rosehill College Kapa Haka Group.
The meeting discussed planning of the Asian Winter Games, 2017 Challenge Cup of
Asia Tournaments and the future direction of the Asian Strategic Planning
Group.

New
Zealand’s international reputation was further enhanced with this meeting, as
all delegates thoroughly enjoyed their stay in Auckland.
