The Ice Blacks made history winning their first division II medal taking silver after defeating Mexico 5-0 tonight at the 2011 IIHF Division II World Championships in Melbourne.

Captain Corey Down who played his 50th game for New Zealand and was awarded MVP for the Ice Blacks for the tournament and Zac Nothling took out best overall goalie for the championship.
