Dunedin Thunder U14s win International Peewee Tournament

The Dunedin based Under-14 Thunder won the International Peewee ice hockey tournament held in Dunedin this week, defeating the Melbourne based Ironworks Steelers 3-2 in overtime on Saturday at the Dunedin Ice Stadium.

Australian team NSA Selects defeated Queenstown based Junior Stampede for third 8-3.

The tournament featured four New Zealand based teams and four Australia based teams. Tournament All-Stars were: Goalie, Anika Texley (Thunder Development); Defense, Lochlan Hodge (Ironworks Eagles); Defense, Ian Audas (Thunder); Forward, Axel Ruski-Jones (Junior Stampede); Forward, Matthew Lee (NSA Selects) and Forward, Jacob Carey (Ironworks Steelers).
