The Ice Ferns will compete in IIHF 2012 Women's Division IIA World Championships to be held in Slovenia, 26-31 March 2012. They will be competing against DPR Korea, Australia, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia.

The 2011 Ice Ferns won the gold medal at the IIHF Division IV Women's Championships in Reykjavik, Iceland and will be promoted to Division III in 2012.
